8 Alternatives [ that are available now ] to Ikea Dihult Floor Cushion [ which is not available anymore ].
Some time ago ago I wrote a blog post about 4 IKEA products I have at home and really love and surprisignly it became one of the most popular posts in my blog (ok, maybe it’s just everything where you mention “ikea must haves“ or “ikea hacks“ becomes popular :) ).

And the most sought-after product on the list was…the Dihult floor cushion (or floor pouf if you like). They are not available anymore in Ikea, you can find them from time to time on different marketplaces like Ebay Kleinanzeigen. etc.
I have had Dihult at home for nearly 5 years and it’s our life-saver and all-rounder in the kid’s room!
We sit, play, and sleep on it (both the kid and us, adults) and after all these years it still looks good and holds its shape.
Long story short - I decided to look for available alternatives.
[ Prerequisites: floor cushion, big (but not huge as a beanbag), comfortable, soft enough, looking good ;) ].
So here are my finds (some will definitely be a great fit for a kids room):
My 2 favorites are: the fermLiving Calm Cushion, 78 x 1 x 78 cm, and Sit On Me Pouf by OYOY (+ here). Also, another grid option is available. Both are from the old collections of the brands and are on sale in many shops.
The closest thing to Ikea Dihult in terms of design and size was the Sahara floor cushion by Nobodinoz, but, unfortunately, it’s no longer available either... Also, it seems this Kid's Base floor cushion Ø60 cm by Kids Concept will serve the purpose great, and I love those stripes :) The second option from Kids Concept, in a velvet cover and square shape, is also good.
Really good big poufs are More Poufs by Karup Design (I have 2 at home), 70cm x 70cm. And very simple design in the same 70x70cm size - velvet Baltimore Floor Cushion by Jotex.
Also found a couple of interesting options on Westwing. This huge one Woolly 125x155x20!. And Cotton Floor Cushion Indi 70 cm x 20 cm x 70 cm.
