Selection of my current and all-time favorites, iconic and new designs - minimalist, elegant, yet giving me a warm feeling: furniture, lamps, decor, accessories, and coffee table books as decor pieces ( = here from their cover design point of view - once we speak about interior styling). All items match my “habitable minimalism” interior style perfectly - a mix of Nordic & Japanese warm minimalism, some use the term “Japandi interior style / Japandi home“.

Most of these objects are still easily available to buy online or offline. BUT, my advice is to mix them with handmade / DIY / vintage items, to bring some imperfection in your space - I honestly believe that it’s those imperfections that create a perfect space and give that perfect vibe.

Let’s start with my new favorite corner of our living room:

Applicata - Luna Tray - simple and elegant design, that will elevate any space and will please the eye for years to come. Trands come and go, timeless designs (like most of the designs featured in this selection) stay relevant forever. Mine is in “smoked oak“, 28cm in diameter. You can find it here or here. My favorite newcomer in our living room - the Aluminium Shelf by Nutsandwoods - I have a soft spot for mixing metal (mostly aluminium or steel pieces) and different sorts of wood… ArchitectMade bowl by Finn Juhl, teak - Danish mid-century design classics by Finn Juhl. My absolute favorite, the shape is so elegant. Where to find: here. Artemide Nesso Table Lamp - available in two sizes - big (Nesso) and small (Nessino). I have a bigger one at home. Where to find: here, here, and Nessino here. And the Humdakin Marble Bowl is also on the shelf.

Now to four pieces, which I currently do not have at home, but will definitely buy as soon as possible:

Vitra - Akari 25N (“25N“ is the bigger one. Found here, and here. My perfect floor lamp. Unfortunately, when you have a 10-month-old baby, crawling around, it’s not the best decision to buy an expensive, super fragile design icon and put it on the floor… so I don’t have it at home, therefore I have no picture of it in my space to share here… ;) FRAMA 01 Chair - warm brown. Available here and here. Also, have a look at the Orchestra Chair by Sven Marlekius for Nordiska Galleriet. Artek - Hocker 60 in black linoleum or honey. You can find them here, here, here. Clean lines, simple shape, very robust - the design is very versatile, the hocker can be used in every room, as a seating, as a nightstand, a side table… Vitra Akari YA2 Table lamp - another iconic design by Isamu Noguchi for Vitra. Available here.

Ferm Living - Bon Shelf/Wandregal, oak - true showrunner in my kitchen. Deep enough to store medium-sized cups and glasses. Where to find: here, here. New Works Pleat Pitcher - my absolute favorite from New Works. I also use it as a minimalist vase sometimes, even for heavy branches (I simply add several stones from the garden to balance the weight) :) Where to find: here, here, or here. FermLiving - Bon Shelf Long 138x16 cm - longer option, perfect both for hanging vertically and horizontally. Find it here or here. Panthella 400 - iconic design by Louis Poulsen, you can find here, here, here. Though now I would prefer to buy this Panthella 320 in opal-beige color with its amazing vintage vibe: here, here.

The vintage Natura lounge chair by Karin Mobring for IKEA, I no longer have - though I truly loved it…

New Works - Karl-Johan Table Lamp - though it’s probably not the most popular design of table lamp by New Works (comparing to, let’s say, their Kizu design - large or small) - but this one is my favorite, I fell in love immediately with this combination of warm smoked oak base and opal glass… Available here and here. And, by the way, the wall lamp is also available in the same design!

FermLiving - Bon Tray, XS - helps me keep my desk organized, and thanks to its size and shape, doesn’t “eat“ too much space. Where to find: here, here, here. ArchitectMade - Bird, oak - one of the cutest things in my home! bird turns its head and “changes“ its body, an ingenious design by Kristian Vedel! Available in different colors, shapes, and sizes. Where to find: here, here. Artisan Stool by Kristina Dam Studio - a small piece of furniture with such a strong character. Available on their website or here. Alessi Cupola A9095 Espresso Maker - I once occasionally washed it in the dishwasher, so now it has a bit of a vintage fleur, and I like its new appearance even more :) Available in different sizes. Where to find: here. Frama AML Hocker - this piece is super versatile - the AML stool is also suitable as a side table or bedside table. Currently available here, or here. Ingo Maurer Lampampe - I’m so in love with this design! It brings those so much-needed, perfectly imperfect lines, which warm up any space and give it a special atmosphere. Here.

Elvang Wool Classic/Luxury Throws - I have three at home, they are super soft, lightweight, and warm, and the colors are just perfect (Coffee, Dark Grey, and Camel are in the image above. I have Latte instead of Camel at my place). You can find them here. By the way, almost all the coffee table books in my photos are from the New Mags store. The open wooden shelf in the left photo is by Zara Home.

The nursery corner for our 1-year-old daughter is currently in our bedroom, and her play area is in our living room. So here is a couple of pieces that we chose for her. Sebra Baby Bett - I’m not surprised that this bed is all over Instagram; it really looks great, the quality is impeccable, and really comfortable for side-by-side sleep. Playhouse (not in the photo) by Kids Concept - we had one before for our son, now I couldn’t resist to buy thr second for our daughter - have a look here. The most practical, stylish, minimalist, and elegant playhouse on the market (to my taste). Fanto pull-along toy by Sebra - my big love! This toy elephant even has some vintage fleur, which I like sooo much :) And no worries - our baby girl has enough colorful toys, not everything is beige and grey :)

P.S. The pendant in our bedroom is Kite by New Works. Available in different sizes and 2 designs (white and white with black).

Curating more pieces… New picks coming soon. Meanwhile, my wider selection is available here.
